Future Products.

7mm Scale Coach Kits.

Members at the January meeting and those reading newsletter 122 will see the 7mm sides for the proposed Manson bogie coaches, in resin. With mouldings incorporating panels, hinges, door stops and fixed doorlights is to a very high degree of reproduction. The roofs and underframes are being mastered and lost wax castings. It is expected that each kit will retail for around - a sure bargain.

Coaches will be the 43' Manson bogie stock including

7 compartment all 3rd

6 comprtment all first

4 compartment brake 3rd

Full brake

A deposit secures.

These coaches had long lives, passing through the LMS epoch and some even lasting until British Railways days.

Ideal with the Greenock Bogie kit!!!

Latest: The resin 7mm coach sides were on display at Glasgow Model Rail, so that is some progress with this prolonged project.

Loco & Coach Transfers, 4 & 7mm scale.

Loco and Tender Numbers and Initials and also lettering for standard coaches are being prepared at the moment and it is hoped for an early release of these much needed aids to easy modelling of the G&SWR.

4mm Scale Coach Kits.

Additional kits for the 31’ 6 wheeled coaches will be produced if sales of the first two in the range are satisfactory.

4mm Class 22

The similarity between the Stirling O class of the Southern and Chatham Railway and the South West's class 22 have been noted. The Association is currently liaising with both Branchlines of  Exeter, who produce a 4mm kit, to find out if they would sell the locomotive separately and also with Autocom, who through the old Nu CAst lit of the Midland and South Wstern 2-4-0, have a tender which is similar to the Dubbs one which was used with the smellie 22. More news later.
